Little Oakling Friends 

Oaklings are curious creatures that
love trinkets and all things shiny.
They live in the trees scavenging for
things the humans have left behind.
But some brave Oaklings take it a step further, explorers of the great indoors……finding cozy houses and living with the big people. Building bonds with the humans. And you could have one too!

The idea for the Oaklings started at the library when I was looking for inspiration for my next crochet project. I found an adorable book with little forest critters in it and I decided to crochet one with my own spin on it. It turned out pretty cute, so I made more, and now here I am.

 The artist behind Oaklore is a middle-schooler who lives in Oak Bay. She started crocheting two years ago, learning her first stitches with her grandmother. She likes surfing, soccer, musical theatre, and spending time in the forest.
