Born and raised on the wild wet coast, Algebra Young is a life-long Vancouver Island resident and artist who specializes in pyrography - art with fire. Primarily focused on using locally harvested trees, she transforms wood into art from her studio in Fernwood. All of her pieces are decorated by hand using extreme heat to imprint original designs inspired by her years of work in marine biology and conservation.
