Joan has always liked colours. Crayons were her favourite as a young girl. As a young adult she attended the Alberta College of Art in Calgary for four years. After graduating she moved to Vancouver, British Columbia. Joan has worked in window display, paste up, engraving memorial granite markers as well as a member of the paint and ink department in an animated film studio. Joan and her husband have raised two boys. The couple retired to the Okanagan where she painted in acrylic. Now much older, she is crocheting and enjoying the simplicity of it. What could be more simple than 100% cotton yarn, hand made dish-cloths?
