Harmony Jade Collection by Honica
The romance and danger that has characterized the history of Jade is the stuff of folk tales and legends. Long and arduous pilgrimages into difficult and dangerous terrain were required to bring this elusive gem from mountain tops and riverbeds to the workshops of skilled carvers and jewellers. For thousands of years Jade has been culturally and religiously significant in Asia...in China it is called "Jewel of Heaven". The many other semi-precious stones in this collection are gathered from countries worldwide...Malachite from Russia and South Africa, Moss Agate from India, Turquoise traded in Tibet, Bloodstone mined in Germany, and Jade from Asia as well as here in British Columbia, where the world's largest reserves remain. Honica enjoys designing this jewelry composition which joins the cool deep greens with the warm tones of brass. She hand forges, roller prints, antiques and polishes the metal to to a rich finish which often requires eight separate steps to complete. Truly made for you by hand!
