Seal Sculpture by Leslie Hunter
Leslie Hunter, BFA, University of Alberta.
Leslie's art is focused on working through the indispensable factor or influence that gives someone, something, somewhere its strength and vitality; and a commentary on the interdependent nature of it all. Leslie uses a variety of mediums to communicate.
Leslie began sculpting over 15 years ago, with a focus on figurative work. Since moving to Vancouver Island in 2014 she has spent every Island day beside the water. Leslie produces a limited number of seals each year, they are individually inspired after the local seals that live by her seaside home. Her Seal sculptures are a beautiful reminder of the joy and responsibility of living beside and in the Ocean.
