Pottery Tea Cups in White with Shades of Grey Swirls
All of her work is thrown on the pottery wheel. It is then trimmed and bisque fired. She decorates it with a combination of oxides, underglazes and slips and cover it with a clear glaze and fire it to maturity.
Some of her processes require several firings incorporating decals and gold lusters. All of which are both permanent and food safe.
The translucency allows light to shine through with wonderful results. It is akin to using china as opposed to stoneware and can be enjoyed for many years.
