ARBUTUS SERVING PLATTER
NEW Well crafted and useful serving platters, made on Vancouver Island by Detlef Grundmann from locally grown Arbutus wood. Each platter is beautifully finished with 4 feet on the base measuring 5/8 inches x 2 inches.
Use for serving hors d'ouevres, sushi, bread, cheese, cold meats etc.
Length~ 21 1/2 inches by width~ 4 inches by 1 inch thick. Foodsafe. Well cared for this board should last a lifetime. The platter is finished with mineral oil & beeswax. foodsafe.
Wipe with a damp cloth after use. Dish soap may be used but do not immerse in water or put in the dishwasher.
Arbutus (Madrona) is prized for its crooked beauty, colorful bark, fragrant white flowers and red berries. This magnificent broadleaf evergreen tree grows along the B.C. West Coast, often on rocky bluffs overlooking the sea. Arbutus is the sacred tree of Knowledge to the Salish First Nation.
