Sterling Silver Necklaces by Sarah Thorneycroft
As each piece is individually hand made the actual item may not be exactly as shown in the photo.
These pieces are all handmade or cast from originals then hand-finished, often incorporating intricate natural textures and lines. Using a variety of techniques, Sarah's work includes hand engraving, reticulation, wax carving, imprinting botanicals, and sand casting. She is proud to be using certified 100% recycled precious metals, and she prioritise keeping her studio practices as sustainable as possible.
Anise Necklace - Sterling silver star anise set in a bold triangular frame. A chunky statement piece, best worn on a long chain (24" chain included) or layered with other pieces.
Cedar Necklace - Sterling silver cedar sprig cast from a tree here on Vancouver Island. Every detail on the sprig is perfectly captured and carefully oxidised to highlight the texture, with its circular frame polished to be beautifully shiny and bright.
Seashell Necklace - Sterling silver shell cast from the intricate spiral at the centre of a seashell. One of the most incredible shapes found in nature, and sometimes called the golden ratio spiral - also seen in young ferns unfurling in the spring, hurricanes, seeds in a sunflower head, pinecones, spider webs. The organic shape is combined with a bold square frame to highlight the contrast and create an elegant pendant.
Foraged Necklaces - Elegant, bold and handmade sterling silver jewellery inspired by wildflowers and plants from both the mountains and valleys of Vancouver Island, and from my travels in the south Pacific, New Zealand, Asia and Europe.
