Anika Lacerte is the artist and creator of The Handcrafted Story. She is an illustrator and surface pattern designer based near Victoria, BC, Canada, on the unceded traditional territories of the T’Sou-ke and Scia’new Nations.

In her work, she wants to create meaningful, encouraging messages. She uses simple, hand-drawn shapes and clean lines. Her ideal projects include surface pattern design, hand lettering, and greeting cards.
