SQUARE (RECTANGULAR) BUTTER DISH

OK. Question time. What shape is butter bought from the grocery store? Answer; Rectangular. So why are most butter dishes round in shape? Because it is easier for the potter to turn them this way!

Now Jim Etzkorn has made some Square - sorry, Rectangular butter dishes. The shape that they were always meant to be.

When the Government required a pottery artist to represent Canada they comissioned Jim Etzkorn to create the dinner set for the 2003 G8 Summit in Kananaskisis.
