SANDERLING CARVING

Hand carved in the tradition of the early carvers, this beach bird, as the Bay men called them can be seen running back and forth with the tide searching for food after a long flight fom South America. It is of one-piece Pine construction with a hardwood bill set into the head. The eyes are glass and the wire legs are positioned into the driftwood base. The body is finished with acrylic paint.
