Melissa McCrosky Melissa McCrosky was born in Kingston, Ontario but lived in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan until aged 17. She grew up canoeing, kayaking, cross country skiing and horse back riding. She always loved working with her hands, making canoes and kayaks with her father. Her mother is a writer and her father a Computer Science and Electrical Engineering professor, which exposed her to both arts and science from a young age.
