In 1996 I started making pots. Initially I did functional stoneware fired at cone 6 but two years later started making burnished pots and pit firing them. Burnishing these pots when leather hard and again when dry gives them a very high shine which stays when they are bisque fired at cone 012. The surface of my pots is very important to me. The high shine gives them great depth and I love that.
