The word perfume used today derives from the Latin "per fumus", meaning through smoke. Perfumery, or the art of making perfumes, began in ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt and was further refined by the Romans and Persians. (Source Wikipedia)
It is important to keep a perfume away from heat or strong light. Always replace the glass stopper after use and gently shake the bottle so as to help form an airtight seal around the base of the stopper. This was helps ensure the perfume bottel remain air-tight and so keep its 'scent' for up to several years.
All of our glass perfume bottles are hand crafted in B.C. signed by the artist and each stopper has a unique fit to the bottle that it comes with.
