GIVERNY BOWL - AMETHYST
This beautiful Giverny Bowl is a reminder of the town, 50 miles outside of Paris which for over 40 years was the home of Claude Monet, the leading Impressionist. Here he lived with his family and built a superb garden including a Japanese garden and lilly pond. With his fading eyesight, Monet painted using larger canvases with fewer details. The real subjects not being the waterlillys but reflections on the water, the blue sky, white clouds and green trees on the shoreline.
