BLACK ONYX PENDANT

A beautiful, dainty, hand crafted pendant made on Salt Spring Island by Alvaro Sanchez. The Sterling Silver chain measures 18 inches and the Pendant 1/2 inch.

Onyx is valued for its strong lustre and colour and has been used in jewellery and ornamentation since pre-historic times. It is a type of Chalcedony and is coloured black through the presence of iron and carbon.
